Here's what we have worked on for the 58th sprint of our new software platform.
Diary week view
This week we carried on working on the diary, on the complex method of how diary appointments are displayed and stacked. Following up on the last sprint where we were able to complete the diary week view.
International address lookup
Due to the unique nature of UK addresses, we decided to integrate with a UK-specific address lookup provider as this has shown to give us the most accurate results. However, for those of you who deal with overseas properties this week, we have integrated with TOMTOM maps for overseas addresses. The challenge here is to seamlessly switch providers based on the property location.
Filter count
This week we worked on a real-time filter count for the contacts section. This updates as you apply filters. This is a great way to give agents insight into their pool of contacts as well as help them filter down to the most accurate results. For example, at a glance, I can see how many contacts are assigned to each user. If I then select a user, I can instantly see how many vendors he has, and how many of the valuations are pending. Although simple in principle, real-time data can be complex to implement as the queries drain server resources.
